TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Coming off an incredible indoor season that saw Jadin O’Brien set the program record for total pentathlon score at the NCAA Championships which earned her a fourth place finish and First Team All-America honors, the freshman is competing in her first collegiate heptathlon this weekend at the Gibson Invite at Indiana State.
O’Brien put on a show on day one of the competition, winning all four events to total 3,411 points.
The freshman recorded wins in the 100m hurdles (13.98), high jump (1.70m), shot put (12.21m) and the 200m (24.86) to put herself in excellent position to win the overall event on Friday.
O’Brien will be back for the final three events of the heptathlon on Friday, April 16.
