Post-Game Notes

• The 70-67 win improved Notre Dame to 25-5 overall and 14-4 in BIG EAST play. The 25 victories are the most regular-season wins for the Irish during the modern era. Notre Dame won a program-record 33 regular-season games (33-7) back in 1908-09.
• This season’s 25 wins are tied for the most during the Mike Brey era at Notre Dame (11 seasons). The Irish also had 25 victories in the 2007-08 campaign. This season’s 14 BIG EAST victories also tie the program standard. The Fighting Irish went 14-4 in BIG EAST play in 2007-08.
• Today was Notre Dame’s second victory ever at Connecticut and the first at Gampel Pavilion. The Irish now are 2-10 all-time at Connecticut, including a 1-3 mark inside Gampel Pavilion. Notre Dame’s other win at UConn was a 75-70 decision on Jan. 5, 2000 inside the Hartford Civic Center. Today was the 25th meeting all-time between Notre Dame and Connecticut. The Huskies lead the series 16-9. Notre Dame has won the last three meetings against Connecticut. That is Notre Dame’s longest win streak in the series.
• Notre Dame is 6-0 this season in games decided by five points or fewer. Five of those contests have occurred during BIG EAST play.
• Notre Dame has posted a 94-40 (.701) record over the past four seasons. The 94 wins are the most victories in program history over a four-year span. The previous standard was 93 from when the Irish went 93-43 from 2006-10. The past four seasons also has produced the most regular-season BIG EAST victories (46-26) in school history.
• The Fighting Irish are 11-1 in their last 12 games.
• Notre Dame’s 10 made three-pointers (10-24) marked the seventh time this season – and second straight game – the Irish have hit 10 or more treys in a game. The Irish have won all seven of those contests.
• The Fighting Irish shot 51.0% from the field (26-51). That marked the 11th time this season – and the third time in the last four games – the Irish have shot 50% or above from the floor.
• Tim Abromaitis (11 points) has scored in double-figures in eight of the past nine games and 25 times overall this season.
• Ben Hansbrough (21 points) scored 20-plus points for the fourth straight game. That’s the most consecutive games with 20 or more points in his career. Hansbrough has a team-high 14 20-plus point games this season. Hansbrough has a career-high 13-game double-figure scoring streak. That’s the longest double-digit scoring streak for the Irish this season. Hansbrough has scored in double-digits a team-high 28 times this season (out of 30 games).
• Ben Hansbrough went 5-6 from three-point range. He has made five or more three-pointers in a game seven times this season (four times in BIG EAST play).
• Ben Hansbrough dished out five assists. He has notched five or more assists in a game 12 times this season (eight times in BIG EAST play).
• Tyrone Nash (13 points) scored in double-figures for the 16th time this season. Notre Dame is 15-1 this season when Nash scores 10 or more points.
• Carleton Scott (13 points) notched a double-digit point total for the 18th time this season.
• Today marked the 13th time this season that Notre Dame has had at least four players score in double-figures in the same game.
• Notre Dame held a 32-27 advantage in rebounds. The Irish are 21-1 this season when they out-rebound their opponent.
• Notre Dame is 23-3 this season when Carleton Scott has played and the Irish are 11-1 since he’s returned from a hamstring injury. Notre Dame went 2-2 when Scott was out with the injury.
• Carleton Scott’s three-pointer less than a minute into the contest extended Notre Dame’s streak to 404 straight games with a made three-pointer. The Fighting Irish have made at least one three pointer during every game of the Mike Brey era.
• Notre Dame trailed 36-33 at halftime. The Irish are 6-3 this season when trailing at the intermission.

• Tyrone Nash, Tim Abromaitis and Ben Hansbrough have started all 30 games this season, while Scott Martin has 29 starts. Carleton Scott, who missed four games earlier this season with a hamstring injury, has started 25 contests.
• Senior forward Tyrone Nash extended his consecutive games played streak to a team-best 80 contests. Nash, Tim Abromaitis (Sr./F) and Ben Hansbrough (Sr./G) have played in all 65 games over the past two seasons. Nash and Hansbrough both have started all 65 of those contests.
