GREENSBORO, N.C. – As announced by the conference on Wednesday, Stephen Ewart and Erika Cucala were named men’s and women’s ACC Fencer of the Week after their performances at the Notre Dame DeCicco Duals.
Ewart went 11-1 on the weekend in four matches. The men’s team went undefeated the entire weekend against 11 opponents.
Cucala went 38-2 through the weekend, taking down her opponent in the #6 Northwestern match, 2-1. Cucala appeared in all 14 matches for the women’s team.
The Irish travel to the Northwestern Duals on Saturday February 5.
