Notre Dame, Ind. – The Notre Dame football team and the St. Joseph County Public Library have teamed up for the first annual Tackle the Arts program on Saturday, July 27, on the second and third floors at the downtown branch of the St. Joseph Public Library. The event, which is open to the public, runs from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m and admission is free with the donation at the door of a canned or non-perishable food item. All donations will go the to the Northern Indiana Food Bank.
The day will feature four different art areas which children and their parents can participate during the two-hour session including reading, creative writing and poetry, drawing and music. Selected members of the Notre Dame football team will be staffing each station, as well as displaying some of their off-the-field talents.
There will also be an autograph station for kids to obtain the signatures of their favorite Irish football players.
